Closeup of the study. “Mama always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun.” This was revisiting of imagery that resurfaced from my early works. The painting began with “cleaning the palette”, as I didn’t want to waste the leftover paint from mixing for the paint color blend chart. Cleaning the palette is to painting what cleaning the fridge is to soups.
